Mr Creosote (2017-11-04):
Oh, yes, this buggy speed implementation hit me as well. When I upgraded to a DX2/66, I could only play by disabling CPU cache through the physical "Turbo" button during the battles.
NullVoid (2017-11-04):
Back in my Pentium days, this gme was already too fast, so hoping to control the soldiers was a lost cause. We only had to make sure we had wizards with the army when storming castles, because they were so much better than battering rams at taking out the enemy gates. Also, the DM kept chastising us because we had no keep in the territory we had only just conquered last turn, which was decidedly annoying. Still, overall, a nice game.
