That's not going to be true anymore (it already isn't for a few games)! It's now on it's very own RAQ4 server, and are hosting games little by little. He hosted his first few a couple days ago, with the folllowing titles:
Quote:
ARGH, Bat & Ball, Battleship, Beyond Columns, Cyclewarz, Dosmine, Gemworld, Grid Poker, Horrorscopes, Minesweeper, Mortar, Pludermine, Pong, Sleuth, Tear Down the Wall
. There's been a couple more big changes there too....now dosgamesarchive.com and dosgames.com share the same discussion forum, and I'm a mod there! Yay!

The IDSA won't reply. They didn't reply to me, they didn't reply to Back to the Roots, they didn't reply to several other webmasters I know.

As for the site you mentioned, other sites would have the full right to complain about them.... just look at the download links! But we had that topic before.

And back to the stupidity of the IDSA...

The same thing happened about a week ago to DOSGames.com. He was hosting the shareware files to Quake, Doom, and I think Wolfenstein 3D (I can't check right now because they are currently switching servers, which explains my presence). He has temporarily removed the links until the IDSA (supposedly) replies to his email....*sigh*....

Found it. Quoting it here (so that I don't have to search everytime someone is interested again). For the record: he sent the first two messages via both the forum messenger AND via e-mail, both saying exactly the same thing both times. That is why I talked about 'posting publically'. Enjoy

What if you point all of the download links to a page with the announcement that downloads don't work?

You know how it works: person comes to site, clicks on 'games', clicks on game name, clicks on 'download', notices download doesn't work, complains. Do you think these people can sacrifice any of their precious time reading useless announcements?

What a novel and interesting idea! I'll do that. I'll probably frame it red for everybody to notice...
