Back in the mid-90s, there was no game similar or better than Descent when you wanted to fly a spaceship through a 3-dimensional mining system and fight enemies coming in from all directions. It was one of the coolest games you could get for your PC at the time! It was also ported to the Macintosh and later even received a Playstation release.

I go the game to work with DOSbox without any issues.

However I got drunk while getting used to the controlls :o lol... I think this might happen with anybody and everybody who is trying the controlls for the first time... :P but if you have a good stomach, give it a try, it is totally worth it :D

I love this game since childhood.
It was the first simulator I have played.
I usually had trouble running after the robot that steal your weapons but eventually I had mastered the technike of following him and killing him... I think he generally go to where you start on the map...then he turns around and just sit there like waiting for you to murder him (If I remember correctly) lol

I have downloaded the game along with a tool that have to make the usage of DOSbos much easier... it auto mounts the game in to DOSbox so you can simply enter the utility, add a game to the utility (witch stay saved, if you want to play the game again just open the utility and it will still have your game there ready) When you want to play the game just open the utility and double click your game.
It is absolutely free so this is no advertizing -_-*

Once you are on click on downloads and search for "DOSBox Game Launcher" that is the tool, pretty simple to get a game to run. I have run Civilization and need for speed 1 with that program so far.

You do not need to download DOSbox because the tool already comes with the latest version of DOSbox

"3D shooters" are embarassing in general, this typical German designation alone gets on ones nerves fast. In combination with that pimply teenager who murders at home while mummy is gone shopping, these accumulations of appropriate cliches become almost unplayable.
