Show some loyalty Mr C: What language... tsk tsk tsk ----- "In theory, if people bred as fast as ants, and with an equal indifference for it's surrounding species, earth would have 5 million human inhabitants at the turn of the century. Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1007 | Never! I'm not saying Mr Creosote's design is bad (after all, I designed his logo), but it doesn not serve the purpose of a site that has many more screenshots and longer reviews . ----- NetDanzr<br /> -The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog- |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1007 | That's true. I'd also have to unzip all images and convert them from .bmp to either .jpg or .gif... ----- NetDanzr<br /> -The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog- |

Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11126 | Batch upzipping and converting can all be done with small tools. Just like screenshots can easily be displayed with a three-liner script which just takes the file names directly out of a directory ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 1007 | I used Lynx on Windows 95. Small and fast, and if there weren't so many .asp and .php pages floating around these days, chances are I'd still be using it . ----- NetDanzr<br /> -The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog- |

Member Retired Gumby Posts: 740 | Attachments now huh? Good addition. Now if we just had a better color theme.... User-selectable skins would definitely be the best way to go. In the meantime, what about a chrome/silver and wood theme, thereby combining the wood look of goodoldays with the more modern look of 21stcentury? Will Vbulletin styles work on this board? If so, I can whip up some on my board and export them. You can also checkout what styles I already have here- http://members.lycos.co.uk/cypherswipe/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=158 "steel plated" and style #14 are pretty popular. Admin Reborn Gumby Posts: 11126 | User selectable skins are the least of my priorities at the moment because I think it shouldn't be that hard to come up with something everybody can live with. I mean, come on - it's just a bunch of colours! As a general rule, this script only supports colour schemes which are either "light background-dark text" or "dark background - light text". Not mixed (e.g. "some light background, some dark - mixed fonts" ). vBulletin styles will of course not work and will never because I won't support any pay software. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |
