Member Retired Gumby Posts: 936 | I have a bunch of games that were obtained in the 80s through one of those mail order deals. None of them are 'commercial' games, mostly small games written by one or two individuals. How interested would you be in them? Their complexity is slightly more than Atari 2600 games. A lot of them are really ugly, ie 4 color CGA. Of course, I know the standard drill of who writes the reviews. Some of them have manuals if the author wasn't lazy, none of them came in a box. Here's a funny message I found on one of the disks Quote: We apologize for the absence of STARGATE.EXE but we have received information that it is NOT a Public Domain program. Rather, It is a broken version of a specialty game disk written by Atari for the IBM PC. We have substituted KILLER.EXE on this disk which should prove entertaining to you. Public Brand Software. ----- Keep your stick on the ice |

You might even remember I tried giving such 'amateur' games special dedication on the site some years ago, but it turned out actually less people were looking at them then, so I incorporated them into the regular games section. In any case, it's still something I'm very much interested in myself. ----- Now you see the violence inherent in the system! |
