After choosing a game from the main menu, you get a small description and instructions.

After looking at the various sites posted in this thread, I conclude this thing is 'new'? Great, if I find a store that delivers it in Belgium, or better yet one in my neighbourhood that has it in stock, I might get myself one someday... The price seems fair enough.

About the difficulty of Missile Command: I think arcade owners set most of their games to 'maniac' difficulty levels because they think it will earn them more money that way. And they may be right, considering the average age of their visitors. I'll never forget that 'END!' screen, talk about in your face!

And excuse my ignorance, but what is a paddle? Is it one of those 360° rotating knob controls (I remember seeing something like this on a picture of an old 'Pong-only' machine)? My preferred input method for any of these games would be a mouse, but then again I've never played with a 'paddle'.

It was first released on April 1st here in Germany. As I said, only one (big) store sells it, I don't know who owns the rights in Belgium of course.

The only console I ever heard had 'mouse-capabilities' was the SNES. And even there, the only program to use it was 'Mario Paint'. In the days of the VCS, almost no computer had a mouse even...

I have that one on my atari 2600. The goal is to detroy that star shaped thing in the middle of the fortress. That multicolored field in the middle is a safe zone, you can't get hit by enemy bullets while sitting there, but the star itself can still hit you, and the bullets can ambush you when you come out.

btw There's another version of this "many games built into a controller" that is shaped like a modern controller, and looks about the size of an n64 or gamecube controller. (If I could just remember the name of the damned thing....)

I see the color in those screencaps is pretty washed out, is that because of the compression setting you used, or your tv card, or....?

My brother has one of those 15-games-in-one controllers that looks like a modern controller, but it doesn't have classic games. They're all generic.

That doesn't exactly look like a 'star' to me. :D

Well, a star is the closest thing to it's shape, although i suppose you could call it a whorl or an asterix.
