I have another version of Ultima 7 Black Gate, of course my disks is different. So there is no meaning to attach missing disk. |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 33 | What do you mean with "another version of Ultima 7 Black Gate"? I didn't state any hash value for Black Gate, so how can you know yours is different? Or are you comparing to Ultima 7: The Black Gate (598)? I don't care if it belongs to that set, as those disks are most likely modified anyway. I only need disk 2 in order to get the game installed. |

But my own version is re-released version in 06/03/1992. All disks are different from 598's. So it is impossible to attach missing disk only. "Ultima 7 Part II Serpent Isle - Disk 5 (hash should be 3ccc566d5633f9d1fd3d089406afe57b396e2b9c)" Only differece from ID:1304's is as follow. (Left : 1092 / Right : 1304) 00002632 : 08 00 00002633 : 31 00 Anyway, do you want disk5? ----- Edited by ibmpc5150 at 00:11 on October 7th, 2014 |

Member Student Gumby Posts: 33 | Ok, so your Black Gate version is the EA release. Guess you are right, those can't be mixed most likely. Disk 5 of Serpent Isle would be great. Thanks in advance. |

Member Master Gumby Posts: 102 | If you have the Standard US release (UPC 0 17814 78310 4) then I can send you an image of disk 2. I'm missing disk 8 myself (just imaged them, and 8 is completely unformatted it seems.) I'm still trying to find a reliable good imaging program, so any suggestions there (or the program itself,) would be appreciated I'm currently using VGACopy but am unhappy with it, as it can only seem to write at a drives "normal" capacity (1.44M or 1.2M in my case.) It does this regardless of the BIOS settings or the type of disk actually inserted into the drive. I built most of my archive (this was one I hadn't archived,) using WinImage, which I later discovered was not a good choice p.s. Oops forgot to specify, this is Ultima VII - The Black Gate. Don't have Serpent Isle, Silver Seed, or Forge of Virtue available to me right now. p.p.s. I don't know where my brain has gone today.... I have the 5.25" HD version of the game (it also came in 3.5" HD.) ----- Edited by Pheonix at 04:07 on October 15th, 2014 |

If you can't read disk 8, try it by Teledisk 2.1x or ImageDisk 1.18 ----- Edited by ibmpc5150 at 04:22 on October 15th, 2014 |

Member Master Gumby Posts: 102 | Ok, both ImageDisk and Teledisk 2.18 (2.16 crashes my vintage system,) worked a treat. Now have disk 1-8 archived. Though I'm going to re-read disks 1-7. I'll zip them up and submit them shortly |
