@bmanbdaman,

Added:

JetFighter II: Advanced Tactical Fighter (2753): Fixes ID 1965 and is set to Verified.

Spectre Challenger (2754): Demo version of Spectre.

Not added:

The Secret of Monkey Island: Matches ID 1276 which is already verified.

Quote:
The disks are labelled 1-4. The manual has no reference to an update disk. The INST.DRK script copies all 4 disks during installation.

I know it's included by default, but ID 1858 consists only of 3 disks. I had to draw the line between them somehow so that people wouldn't assume the latter is incomplete or something. Now that I took a closer look it appears that ID 1858 is EGA version and yours is VGA. My bad. Still though, your disk 4 contains some kind of update. It has its own individual INST.DRK, which is not copied to your hard drive on install, and UPDATE.EXE is not executed upon installation either unless you do it manually, which also requires disk 1.

Spectre Challenger seems to be a Demo based on the README. I think I got it as part of some VR thing I bought in the 90's.

Yes, Drakkhen box says supports all graphics modes including VGA. Looks like Disk4 used to be an update like you said, but my install copies all 4 disks. They are also labelled Disk1-Disk4 so no distinction.

Upload:

Hoyle Classic Board Games ; DOS ISO from CD I just found at a Thrift store (2MB)

This is different than the one on Internet Archive (same picture), but both IsoBuster and InfraRecorder say this size is correct. The Disk Maker is KAO Optical instead of American Data Technology. Odd.

I've uploaded some images. Don't know if they are good, bad or pure crap, I'll let Moebius decide that. Hope some of them can help the database.

@bmanbdaman,

We don't really use floppy archive for CD images. If there was a game entry in the review section I could add it there, but since it's presently missing I don't know what to do with that.

@Otaku,

Added:

Outrun (2763): Choosing display mode on game start doesn't work. Must be a copy protection issue.

Space Quest 1: The Sarien Encounter (2764): V2.000 SCI / VGA. Fixes ID 365.

Space Quest 2: Vohaul's Revenge (2765): v2.0D / AGI v2.936.

Not added:

Body Blows: Modified OEM ID, otherwise a match to ID 715.

Mortal Kombat: Disk 2 and 3 have modified OEM IDs which is why they don't match ID 1787.

Prince of Persia: Both 3.5" and 5.25" images are fake (literally). Someone introduced the files manually and attempted to disguise MSDOS5.0 pattern as IBM 3.3.

Quest for Glory 3: Even more modified than ID 337.

Wolfenstein 3D: Modified OEM ID, otherwise a match to ID 2468.

@Otaku,

Added:

King's Quest 5: Absence Makes the Heart go Yonder! (2768): v0.000.051 (VGA). Disk 1 (Startup) is 3.5" DD (720kB).

Leisure Suit Larry 2: Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places) (2769): 3.5" DD (720kB) x 3, v1.000.011. Purged RESOURCE.CFG.

Note: Same as ID 1282, only someone deleted RESOURCE.CFG (orphaned) plus ID 1282 is a bit more modified in the FAT.

Leisure Suit Larry 2: Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places) (2770): 5.25" DD (360kB) x 6, v1.000.011. Purged RESOURCE.CFG.

Note: Same as previous. Remember, simply deleting files from a disk or image won't wipe the actual data. I'm sure it wasn't you, but saying it just for the record.

Leisure Suit Larry 2: Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places) (2771): 3.5" DD (720kB) x 3, v1.002.000. Purged RESOURCE.CFG.

Note: Ditto.

Tie Fighter: Defender of the Empire (2766): Tie Fighter expansion v1.0. Disk 2 is 3.5" DD (720kB).

Note: The one we have is a bad WinImage dump and it's also in German, not English. Language corrected.

Not added:

Flashback: Embedded AT, otherwise a match to ID 1295

Leisure Suit Larry 2 (v1.002.000, 5.25"): Purging RESOURCE.CFG revealed a match to ID 1689, which is now set to Verified.

ID 2628 fixed. Thank you.

@Atorm,

Added:

Il Filo di Arianna (2767): Modified OEM ID, embedded AT, multiple written files.

@Otaku,

Added:

Aces of the Deep: Expansion Disk (2772)

Quest for Glory 3: Wages of War (2773): v1.0

Not added:

A-10 Tank Killer: v1.1. Disk 1 is not original (italian boot message). In fact, we had it earlier, but it was replaced. Disk 2 is the same as ID 2443.

A-10 Tank Killer v1.5: Embedded AT, otherwise a match to ID 1817 (Verified).

Aladdin: Both disks weren't dumped from the original media (CH-FOR15 is always a deal-breaker).

Lure of the Temptress: Modified OEM ID, embedded AT, otherwise a match to ID 116.

Mega Man: Modified OEM ID, otherwise a match to ID 463 (Verified).

Police Quest 2: Modified OEM ID, otherwise a match to ID 791.

Police Quest 3: Modified OEM ID, embedded AT, some modified bytes, otherwise a match to ID 2714.

Spear of Destiny Mission 2: Embedded AT, orphaned data (extraction attempt), otherwise a match to ID 518.

Street Fighter: Modified OEM ID, otherwise a match to ID 2512.

Aces of the Pacific - WWII: 1946 (2777): Fixes ID 564.

Aces over Europe (2778): v1.0 Francais. Restored OEM ID, cleaned AT.

Not added:

3-D Tetris: This is really Blockout game and we already have it as ID 1832.

3-K Trivia: Same as ID 607.

Abandoned Places A Time For Heroes: Fake.

Ace of Aces: Same as ID 1865 only more modified.

Aces of the Deep: Expansion Disk: Same as ID 2772.

@Atorm,

Added:

Dizionario Di Informatica (2779): Modified OEM ID, embedded CT & AT.

@Otaku,

Added:

Manhunter: New York (2780): v1.22. Manual CP. Fixes ID 294.

Manhunter: New York (2781): v1.22 (original). Manual CP. Missing _MH.BAT (factory fault). Restored OEM ID, cleaned AT.

Manhunter: New York (2782): v1.22 (cracked + _MH.BAT). Modified OEM ID, embedded AT.

Note: Instead of adding two different sets (1 cracked & 1 with _MH.BAT) I decided to keep just one which combines the two. All in all both are modified, and manually adding the missing _MH.BAT to the image does not really restore it since it wasn't there in the first place.

Space Crusade (2783): English/Deutsch/Francais/Italiano. Manual CP.

Space Crusade (2784): English/Deutsch/Francais/Italiano. Cracked SPACE.EXE and SPACE.MOD.

Space Quest 1: The Sarien Encounter (2785): v2.2 / AGI v2.917. Missing CP.

Note: Thanks for this one, now we can restore the already existing Teledisk version of it, which is severely modified with savegames.

Space Quest 1: The Sarien Encounter (2786): v2.2 / AGI v2.917. Cracked SIERRA.COM.

Not added:
