Not quite true some versions appear to have come with a grey "bonus disk", but I have no idea what it does or what's on it as the game only ever came on 9 3.5" disks. https://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/l/156546-rex-nebular-and-the-cosmic-gender-bender-dos-media.jpg You are right though that the 10th disk in my version is not that bonus disk. ----- Edited by AliensOfGold at 02:38 on October 24th, 2018 |

Fair enough. It seems like a demo disk originally bundled with the hint book. It contains Death Scenes, Sets (some game backgrounds with commentaries) and completely mindless video sequence named Evolution of Rex. The real bonus disk has the installb command along with an official sticker label and is grey. The disk I have that I assumed initially was the bonus disk is green and has a sticker label that says type readme, and also only contains a single file. I had thought that it was maybe just a region difference with the disk colour and label, but I guess it's just something weird someone did years ago for themselves. I have to wonder where the one from my copy went, unless it wasn't included in all versions. ----- Edited by AliensOfGold at 05:00 on October 24th, 2018 |

It was clearly included only in Master Player's Edition which came out 1 year later after the original release according to mobygames. ----- Cheer up! Member Zombie Gumby Posts: 3881 | @RetroBunny, Added: X-Wing: Imperial Pursuit (2829): Add-on for X-Wing. Cleaned CT. Quote: I had downloaded "Floppy Disk Image ID 1830", which is your version of this expansion, but it looked quite a bit different than my version. Your version only includes a single self-extracting EXE file without any setup program. You're talking about ID 610. It has just one file, indeed (XWUPGR-2.EXE). ID 1830 is very similar to yours, but there is one more file, different volume label and some different timestamps, too. I only hope it's not self-made, because CT is often indicative of that. ----- Cheer up! Remember the less you have, the more there is to get. |

Member Bachelor Gumby Posts: 60 | No, it was not self made... although it's been on a very old backup dvd, so I have no idea what I did maybe do to it years ago. But, you are correct. ID 1830 is another version. I must have overlooked that one. Sorry. It's slightly different from the one I uploaded, though. The filedate is off by a few days and the filesize is slightly different. Someone must have been actively working on these files back in 1993 when they were released. ----- Edited by RetroBunny at 11:45 on October 24th, 2018 |

Member Bachelor Gumby Posts: 49 | Looks like a have a fair number of 80's/Early 90's disk images in my personal collection that I can contribute. Mostly strategy/RPG titles. Recently had them all imaged with Kryoflux to preserve them. Have many CD-ROMs as well that I've digitized myself. Would love to contribute to your preservation efforts here. Look forward to uploading! |

Member Zombie Gumby Posts: 3881 | @mikic, Added: Gary Grigsby's Pacific War (2833): v1.0. Manual copy protection. Thank you for uploading KryoFlux images, but they are not necessary in this instance. We only require hybrid/flux images in case of physical copy protection, and since the latter was not detected in either game we should dispense with ordinary IMA/IMG dumps for now. Also, game archives are ok, but only if the games in question have received any reviews and have existing entries in the review section. We cannot add them otherwise and files alone are not a reason enough to create a new entry. Only reviews can do it. ----- Cheer up! Remember the less you have, the more there is to get. |

Member Zombie Gumby Posts: 3881 | @mikic, Added: Renegade Legion: Interceptor (2834) Storm Across Europe (2835) Treasures of the Savage Frontier (2836): v1.0 Not added: Star Command: Disk 1 is apparently overdumped (720kB) and corrupt. Not sure how you pulled that off, but do you think you could correct it? Also, could you please provide the resulting sector maps from DTC for all the games you have contributed so far or at least tell me if all the sectors came out green? From here all your dumps look pretty clean and unmodified, so I thought maybe we should change their status to 'Verified' if only you could corroborate it. ----- Cheer up!
