I don't use DOSBOX anymore.
I test ont real PC or PCEM/86box.

I don't recommend to use DOSBOX to install any programs from floppy to HDD if possible.

Railway Challenge (1213):

Cannot install. Error message:

"Kann Datei INSTALL.CFG nicht finden"

(Cannot find the file INSTALL.CFG)

Although a file with that name is there.

Ok, I tried that in VirtualBox and there was no problem with the installation. Should I mention that DOSBox is the culprit in this case? And I also wonder if I should specify that it's version 0.74 exactly that causes this issue, because at some point a new version may come out with some bugfixes, even though there have been no updates in years. By the way, sorry for late response, didn't notice this immediately.

There is no Disk/Manual Copy Protection.

This game works on floppy with VGA configulation.
But no 16 colors EGA disk is included.

Ninja Gaiden 2 consists 4ea of 5.25" 360KB disks or 2ega of 3.5" 720KB disks.

I tested it on real DOS PC on VGA and PCEM with VGA.

You must config the video as VGA.

Images of Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers (1564) have been revisited and properly restored (faulty disks 4 and 9 + OEM ID's of 2-11). If anyone got the original floppies, feel free to make dumps and compare SHA1 hashes to help us verify it.

In this case, Rastan is Not dumped correctly.
Because Rastan disk has copy protection on Track 16/0.
So this status seems to be cracked or redump needed by SCP or Kryoflux.

@imbpc5150,

1) Restored is NOT verified, only improved as far as it can be. In this particular case system IDs were restored back to original.

2) We don't care about disk-based copy protection for the reasons that will soon be articulated in our new floppy guidelines.

@Moebius

Do you really have original disk of Rastan?

At least, disk 1 of 5.25" or 3.5" is Not restored perfectly.

1) Copy Protected sectors are missing with stadard IMA.
2) They shoule be dumped by SCP or Kryoflux image.

I've checked disk 1 of Rastan (002334_rastan.7z).
But your restoration is wrong or incomplete.

This seems to be cracked disk.

Original disk doesn't include RASTAN.EXE.
RASTAN.COM should be exist.

Anyway, this is cracked status.
