Our host (TGOD, 21CT, AN,...) is going to be shut down in a month. I'm trying to come up with a solution. Needless to say the sites will survive - no matter in what way.

Don't know how exactly is the site run, whether it's a regular account or a whole server, but I found Shadehost very cheap. The downside - they are down for about a day every month, and they never communicate with their customers.

How much space are you looking for? Price? Features (perl, php, asp, email, etc)? Bandwidth limits?

TGOD uses anything between 5 and 100 GB, depending on the number of downloads I activate, so that's not so easy to answer Also, a huge problem is finding a host where I can store all the multiple domain names. The usual offers allow you to set up one which is, of course, not nearly enough.

Bad news: the hosting deal hasn't worked out. Lack of financial security and a general lack of motivation have led me to decide not to keep the websites I'm running up. They'll stay available for another two weeks, then the current hosting runs out. The domain names gooddays.org and goodolddays.net are expiring next month and I don't plan to renew them. It's sad that it must end this way after all these years, but that's the way it is.

And you've "accidentally" decided this on April 1st?

Actually, I decided after reading the announcement on the host's website and after receiving the e-mails about renewing the domains.

Currently beginning to set things up on the new server. All webmasters of hosted sites I haven't contacted yet, just message me on ICQ when I'm online or wait for me to do it to you

I'm fairly sure (uh-oh...) that I have done everything important, so I'll change the DNS entries of goodolddays.net and gooddays.org now. All posts made after this one, and before one saying this is the new server will probably be lost.

Ditto. Before Mr Creosote distorts the story, however, let me just sayd that the problem with my site was a faulty .css file. 'Nuff said

One thing, though: the link to Eskimogames doesn't work.
It should point to www.eskimogames.com instead of eskimogames.com
