This is a current photo of two game designers who were quite famous in the 80s and early 90s. Who knows their names and which games they're responsible for?

Don't recognize any of them. Indeed, I would not recognize the face of any other "famous" programmer/designer either..

No idea. When do these guys ever show their faces? In some interviews I don't read. Morever, I never care who made a game, I just judge its quality.

Just a guess: they could be the 'Two Guys from Andromeda' who made the Space Quest series... That picture sure would explain why they hide themselves behind their punk-pig-with-sunglasses alter egos in the game...

No, that's not them. These two guys made action / arcade games.

The only programmers I could recognise are Richard Garriott and William Gates III

I know that guy on the left though, I've seen him somewhere before... just can't pick where (or who!).

Pah! Amateurs... The one on the collage is Sid Meier. No idea who those two are, however. Let's try the elimination, though:

Of the two guys on the picture, neither is:
* Sid Meier
* Richard Garriot
* Will Wright
* any of the female programmers (for a moment I thought one of them might've been Dani Bunten, but she's dead, so she can't be working for an insurance company)

I think this narrows the field down a little .

At last someone who takes a systematical approach at the question You're right with all your statement, and no, it's not Dani Bunten (or Dan for that matter ).

Now you should use the remaining time to take a look at the hint I gave you before and now: they mainly made shooters and one of their Jump'n'Runs became the epitome of that genre on the Amiga. Oh, and they had slightly different hair back then

Nope, they're both English. Another photo (from 1993) - it's still not Dani Bunten, even if the person looks like her here

I got it! It's the Bitmap Brothers (some of them, at least - I think there were more). And if you ask me, I think they had better hair back then.
