Review by Underdogs:
Typing Racer is a fun 3D racing game designed to help improve your typing in a fun and addictive way. In this "rail shooter" (i.e. you don't have control over your movement), alphabets (or numbers, depending on what you choose at start-up screen) are scattered around the course. Your objective is to press the letter (which can be Japanese Hiragana/Katakana characters, English alphabets, or even numbers - depending on your choice from the main menu) on your keyboard that matches the letter that is closest to you to make it disappear. Run into the letter, and you will slow down; you will speed up as you hit the correct keys. "Combo" bonus points are awarded for consecutive hits. Although all the 5 courses are essentially the same except for different length and background graphics, the game is quite fun. You can even change the difficulty level to suit your typing skills. If you want a short racing/action game that is useful to boot, Typing Racer is worth a try. It will help you improve your typing speed when you are having fun, in a less comprehensive manner than The Typing of the Dead. Two thumbs up!
