Review by Underdogs:
The Young Gabriel King Chronicles and Saturday School are two excellent short (20-30 mins.) adventure games created for the "One Room, One Week" AGS competition in April 2005. Although both games take place on a single screen, the authors managed to craft interesting puzzles and crisp graphics in that space. In The Young Gabriel King Chronicles your goal is to find a book and a lighter for your trailer trash mom, while in Saturday School your job is to escape detention. What I like most about The Young Gabriel King Chronicles are several clever timed sequences that make for challenging puzzles, while Saturday School boasts an innovative user interface and a lot of funny, well-written dialogues with fellow students. If you have about an hour to spare, both amateur adventure games will definitely give an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.
