Having problems with floaters? Not to worry! Eric is in the house and that means floaters will have to go! We provide our customers with best service and free insurance against partial damage or complete loss of property if incurred. Don't wait any longer, call now: 1-800-GET-BOMBED! Wondering what the original Bomberman game was? You are now beholding it! Though, only the japanese release happen to bear the familiar title and I personally played the european version which accounts for the currently chosen name.

Rise Out from Dungeons

riseout01.png
ASCII 1983
Genre: Puzzle, Action
Rating: 4/6
Licence: Commercial
System: MSX

In just a few words: maze, running, shooting, little men, platforms, ladders, traps, goldbars, key, exit. But all these tags would hardly make a review, now would they? Yes, you're guessing right, this is another variation of the all-time legendary platformer Lode Runner, which funnily enough came out the same year, only this is apparently a very quick response to Broderbund from japanese ASCII. Although somewhat unaknowledged (unless you're lucky as me), it is still a nice and entertaining game with a slighty rehashed scheme.

Stop the Express

StopTheExpress01.png
Hudson Soft 1983
Genre: Action
Rating: 3/6
Licence: Commercial
System: MSX

The ITA Express has been hijacked by the criminal gang called Redmen. It has lost control and is going nowhere. As a Special Security Agent you must hurry and find a way to stop the train before it's too late. You are to proceed all the way from the rear of the train to the engine cabin to manage controls and bring it to stop. Meanwhile, the Redmen are pursuing you, so you must find a way to drop them off if you ultimately don't want to get dropped yourself. Quite literally.

Yie Ar Kung-Fu 2: The Emperor Yie-Gah

YieArKungFuII_001.png
Konami 1985
Genre: Action
Rating: 3/6
Licence: Commercial
System: MSX

Another martial arts tournament? Great. Only this is not a matter of free will and personal ambition. As a newly-made kung fu master Lee Young your noble quest is to free China from the grip of the evil martial artist Yie-Gah who happens to be the sole survivor of the villanous Chop Suey Gang formerly annihilated by your father and who has conceitedly declared himself a new emperor. As anticipated though, before you face Yie-Gah and depose his tyrannical regime you must defeat his best henchmen warriors trained in different martial art styles...
