Hello All!

I found out about 86box yesterday and spent some time configuring a system, installing dos 6.22, and then installing Windows 3.1. I found this site while looking from some of those games I used to play in my teens.

I'm always amazed at the tons of games from the 90s. Because I was a kid without a job, I only really had access to whatever my parents bought or what me and my friends would share. It's fun looking through hundreds of games I've never heard of.

Hello all, nice to be in this site.

Been looking for a german P&C which is quite hard to find. I was intrigued by it even though it seems to have somewhat bad reviews.

Seems this place has a version.

Ah a fellow fan of the genre, good to have you here! Recently I played Monkey Island with my daughter and now she's excited for the sequel that has been announced...

How old is your daughter? Is she willing to read or are you playing this "special edition"?

She's 14 and much more willing to read than her father, so we played the special edition. ;)

OK so...ya...um long-time lurker, first-time poster. Hmm not really sure what to put so I'll simply say that I have been a Retrogamer since college (1999), though have fallen off recently. I'm a huge fan of the Ultima series of games (Richard Garriot is GOD). also afore the Sierra and LucasArts adventure games. Guess that's about it.

Hey, we're still missing Ultima III, aren't we? What do you think of that one?

Good Evening,
I am a 42 yrs young man who likes to play some old fashioned games. I just remembered myself to Pizza Connection.
I first played this on my 486 with 8 (!) MB RAM on my 15" Monitor. That was amazing.
So, maybe with your help I can enjoy this again. Due to my age on a 32" Screen...

Regards
Paul

Hi, I have just started dumping my PC, Amiga and C64 disks and would like to check these against the copies catalogued here for preservation and/or verification purposes. Cheers. =)

Hi, I´m Gustavo, a very proud owner of a Turbo XT clone. Thanks for this great site. I find the boxes´ arts fantastic, since as a Brazilian user, I only had pirated games.

Hi!

Oldtime gamer here, having started gaming with a pre-Atari "Pong" system in the 70s. My computer gaming career began with the Vic20 and C64, then jumped to the IBM PC format with a dual floppy Amstrad PC1512 in 1986. Dual floppies meant half the disk swapping!

Some of the earliest PC games I recall playing are Bill Williams' Alley Cat, Dave and Barry Murry's The Ancient Art of War, the submarine simuation GATO and business sim Executive Suite.
